Lessons Learned

Lessons Learned

Having produced my art show(s), with the 2nd coming up on the 25th, I have sat & reflected on all that has transpired to get me here.

3 years ago I picked up a brush, put paint to paper, & learned a new skill. I knew I had the ability & talent to do it, but it was the dedication & the consistency that made the difference.

Applying oneself into something, & gaining more than creative expansion. Art became my therapy.

Painting has got me more into my photography & all the creative juices that have been there waiting to come out. & I believe 100% in myself & what I can accomplish. This creative path is one that I want, & one that I know is part of why I am here in this place, this moment, right now.

I still dabble in the Clothing & Streetwear business, consulting, advising, but my future lies in being in service to myself & others. Creating to know myself better. Conversing with young & old to find our common peace & paths that unite us & build connections. Creating workshops, holding talks & events that pull us together.

I believe in people, I believe in the young & old. Together there is nothing that we cannot accomplish. Just takes a will to want to be & do. I have that. The last 3 plus years & the challenges I have had to face, have laid me low, flat out, & yet I am still here. I got up each time & took a step forward…day by day.

I had help along the way. My family for one, they never let me drop. They reminded me of who I am & what I am capable of. Julia Darlington, one of the best life coaches out there. She helped me change my view on life entirely, and furnished me with tools to deal with all. But the best thing out of all of this was allowing myself, help myself, be myself.

Today, my life is 100% different, my finances may not be as large as before, but I wake everyday with a smile & grateful for another day of being & doing. Producing my art shows & my creative journey have made me see what I am capable of, & a reminder of who Farhid Fats Shariff is.

Yes I still have some anxiety, I have my shadows, but I am confident in myself. I trust & allow life to flow. I let go of control, because many things in life are not under your control. So I focus on what I can control & what I can do to enhance my life & my journey forward.

Be well.
